Abstract (EN)
Keywords: Performance, performance appraisal, 360 degree perormance appraisal, feedback, 360 degree feedback. SUMMARY Performance appraisal is one of the most important functions of the human resources management. In today's business world, human is the most valuable asset of companies, so it's very important to measure efficiency and success level of individuals to companies. In performance appraisal; work of individuals, lackings, qualifications, over qualifications and uncapabilities are evaluated carefully. 360 degree feedback is one of the techniques of performance evaluation and it's been used in USA since a decade and between 2 to 3 years in Turkey too In the first part of the thesis, performance concept and factors that effect success were mentioned briefly. Factors, that effect performance; personal skills, drive for success, organiaatinal and environmental factors were also mentioned too. In the second part, the defination and the importance of performance appraisal were defined. Benefits, criterias and standards of performance appraisal were also reminded. In the same chapter, techniques and the evaluation errors were fully explained as well. In the third part, 360 degrees performance appraisal system explained in full detail. Such as, features, developmental stage, benefits for user and companies, reasons of companies for using of this system, feedback resources and practices and the future of the 360 degree feedback were explained. In the last part, defenders' and oppositions' views were explained and the problems of the system explained. As a result, the last suggestions were brought up to solve the conflicts. vin
