Abstract (EN)

In this study, dibenzoylaceticacid-N-carboxyethylamide, which used as output substance, was obtained from the reaction of 4-benzoyl-5-phenyl-2,3-furandione with ethylurethane as reported in the literature. N-(4-nitrophenyl)-2,2-dibenzoylacetamide (LH) used as the ligand was prepared from the reaction of 4-nitroaniline with this compound. Carboxyamide ligands have N and O donor atoms and therefore they can form a complexes very easily. In this thesis, new metal complexes in different geometric structures were synthesized from the reaction of Pd(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Co(II) and Zn(II) transition metal salts with the bidentat ligand (LH). The synthesized complexes [Cu(L2)].H2O, [Co(L2)(H2O)2].3H2O, [Ni(L2)(H2O)2].2H2O and [Pd(L2)(H2O)2].H2O complexes within the synthesized complexes compounds are estimated to be of an octahedral structure, while the [Zn2(CH3COO)2].2H2O complex is thought to be of a tetrahedral structure. All reactions were monitored by Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) and crude products were purified by crystallization from appropriate solvents or washed in different organic solvents. The structures of synthesized compounds were determined using methods such as UV-Vis, FT IR, ¹H NMR, 13C NMR spectroscopy and TGA. In addition to spectroscopy techineques used stuctrure determination of compounds elemental analysis (C, H, N, S), magnetic susceptibility and electrolytic conductivity was used.
