A field study on the construction inspection system and problems within the scope of the law no 4708 on construction inspection, the case of Osmaniye

After the 1999 Marmara earthquake in our country, our State initiated the necessary studies and made a radical change in the building inspection system. In order to ensure reliability in buildings and control according to legal regulations; In the Official Gazette dated 13 July 2001, the Building Inspection Law No. 4708 and the Building Inspection Practices and Principles Regulation based on this law was put into effect. As of this date, laws and regulations have been implemented in 19 pilot provinces, and then, from 01 January 2011, throughout the country. In this thesis study; The legal legislation used in the implementation of the building inspection system, the boundaries of which were drawn with the building inspection law numbered 4708 and the construction inspection implementation regulation, were evaluated comprehensively. The building inspection system and its history were examined, the building inspection system in foreign countries was emphasized, information was given about the existing building inspection system in Turkey, and the views and opinions of the building inspection companies, municipalities and the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change in Osmaniye were taken and a comprehensive evaluation was made.
