Abstract (EN)

The effect of (Perlan) 6-Benzyladenine+GA(4+7) usage on lateral branch formation in dwarf apple saplings was investigated. In the study, the effect of five different red and green apple varieties ('Golden Delicios', 'Granny Smith', 'Fuji', 'Scarlet Spur' and 'Super Chief') on lateral branch formation on M9 dwarf rootstock was determined. Perlan used in four different concentrations (0, 250, 500, 750 µL/L) was applied to the saplings in spray form at two different times (when the flower petals fall and one month after the petal fall). At the end of the applications, the number of narrow-angle branches, the number of wide-angle branches, the total number of branches, the trunk diameter and the sapling height were determined. The results obtained showed that both single application and double perlan application at 250, 500, 750 µL/L doses statistically increased the number of wide-angle branches and total branch numbers in all varieties, whereas these applications had no effect on the number of narrow-angle branches, sapling trunk diameter and sapling height. It is thought that these results will be beneficial in reducing input costs in intensive fruit cultivation.
