Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to determine the effects of the trauma experienced by teachers who experienced the February 23, 2023 Kahramanmaraş centered earthquake on their lives with the pictures they made and interview forms. The sample of this study, prepared with the qualitative research method, consists of 15 teachers working in a secondary school affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in the city center of Gaziantep. For the research data; teachers' painting practices and interview forms were used. The pictures were interpreted with the descriptive analysis method. The interview forms were analyzed in tables and the results were presented. The striking features in the teachers' compositions are generally the ruins of collapsed houses, human landscapes waiting for help, asphalt cracks on the roads. The colors used are gray and dark tones. According to the forms; they stated that their commitment to life increased, they spent more time with their families and children, and they started to live without postponing what they had postponed. It was determined that they did not receive psychological help from their institutions after the earthquake and before starting their duties.
