Abstract (EN)
Various strategies, techniques and methods are presented based on contemporary education solutions that center the student in education. Creative drama is one of the solutions. It is a method that is effective in the basic recovery of the individual, preparation for life, and development of positive behaviors. In this research, 7th grade students' deeply focused motivation towards Turkish is expanded by the creative drama method. Action research was used as the research model. The research group of the study consisted of 25 7th grade students in a school in Gaziantep province. The preparation and implementation process of the research covers the 2022-2023 academic year. The quantitative data collection tool used in the research is the 'Motivation Scale for Turkish Lessons of Secondary School Information'. The pretest and posttest results of the scale were analyzed by the SPSS program. One-group tests were used in data analysis. Qualitative data collection tools are student research participants, researcher diary and interview formula. The results obtained from qualitative data collection tools were described with content analysis. Throughout the research, statistically significant differences occur between the pre-test and post-test results of performance. It has been observed that the creative drama method significantly increases the motivation levels for Turkish language proficiency. In student study activities and researcher diaries, their motivation and the development of their contributions to basic characteristics were reached. In the interviews with the students, it was determined that there were positive aspects about the creative drama method that contributed to their own development.
