Abstract (EN)

708 students aged 9 to 12 who attend official primary schools of Milas in Muğla have been comprised in this research which has been planned and run in order to evaluate the nutrition facts of school children aged to 9 to 12.Scanning model was applied .This research was done between 2006 and 2007. The data was gattered with questionnaire forms the height and weight of each child was measured.The questionnaire was prepared to researchand evaluate the socio-cultural facts, personal facts, school facts and nutrition facts of the school age children. According to the research results, %45.2 of primary school students don?t skip meals, %39.5 sometimes skip meals and mostly skipped meal by %50.9 of the students is lunch..ıt is fixed that %50.1 of the students buy chocolate, %39.4 buy sandwich, hamburger or toast with heir pocket money.And %85.4 of the school children consume cheese, %75.4 consume apple ,pear and banana, %47.8 consume bread or cookies everyday.The %50.1 of the school age children which were took part in the survey consume fish or the order sea products once or twice a week.It is fixed that %93.0 of there children like potato meals, %82.5 like chicken and turkey meals.İt is fixed that the majority(%79.2) of the students?s BMI is normal.The students should be concinced not tos kip their meals,and should be provided to consume enough and ballanced nutritive and at the same time they must be provided to gain enough and balanced eating habits.
