Abay Kunanbayoğlu's world of religion and thought

Abay Kunanbayoğlu has an active role in the religious and cultural life of the Kazakh society of the Soviet period. The real situation of Islam in the region stands at the intersection of Turkish and Russian culture. For this reason, it is necessary to know the role of Abay in order to determine and understand the current scientific and cultural situation of Kazakh society. Because, as a thinker, Abay is a Muslim personality who is also knowledgeable about Russian culture. The traces of this broad perspective are clearly seen in his works. Abay Kunanbayoğlu's works have been studied in different aspects in the pre-independence period and for more than twenty years since independence. However, our research is unique in some respects and therefore important. In the 10-15 years after independence, the demand for experts who had learned the Sharia law of Islam, who knew Arabic and Persian, to research Abay's works in connection with the eastern worldview, increased intensely. At that time, the language issue in Abay's works began to be the subject of research on new topics in order to determine the ideological aspects of Eastern languages literature and his connection with great personalities. However, the Qur'an and Hadith texts in Abay's works, as well as Arabic words and expressions with partially religious and Islamic meanings, have not been specifically analyzed in the context of the Muslim worldview. This was somewhat normal. B The phenomenon of religion in Kazakh society in recent years has become one of the most current issues in society. Abay's works began to be interpreted from different angles among different religions and sects. Abay, so to speak, has become a value that cannot be shared. Even research on Abay's worldview andvii religious views has led to an attempt to misrepresent our national values by associating religion with foreign religions in our definition of the world. For all these reasons, it is of great importance to draw attention to the attempts to distort Abay's thought and religious belief in an original and correct way, in line with beliefs alien to our culture. This problem has not yet been fully resolved. It is very important to explain Abay's religious understanding and creed in all its reality. This topic is one of the main aims and objectives of our research. The importance of our thesis lies in the correct presentation of Abay's world of thought and belief.
