Abstract (EN)

This research examines the science of rhetoric, its history, origins, divisions, and highlights its importance, distinguishing it from other rhetorical sciences. It also presents the biography of the writer and poet Professor Abdullah Altayeb and his liter ary and scholarly contributions. Additionally, it studies a facet of rhetoric in the poems of Professor Abdullah Altayeb (Al Majzoub) through a detailed analysis of his collections, extracting the apparent rhetorical excellences and elucidating the beauty of his choices, craftsmanship, effective use, and innate talent . The choice was made to focus on the poems of the Sudanese poet Abdullah Altayeb because he is one of the most renowned contemporary literary figures in Sudan. He has gained literary and poetic recognition for his eloquent style that captivates readers thro ugh the harmonious blend of words and meaning meaning. Furthermore, Abdullah Altayeb has authored numerous books covering various fields, including his interpretation of the Holy Quran. His poetry co llections are the subject of this study, divided into three chapters after the introduction. The first chapter introduces Abdullah Altayeb, his background, life, and his scholarly and literary influence. The second chapter defines the science of rhetoric, its origins, development, and significance. The third chapter delves into the verbal excellences evident in his poetry, elucidating these excellences concisely. Finally, the fourth chapter discusses the moral excellences, analyzes instances of rhetorical b rilliance, and highlights their merits and what becomes apparent from them.
