Abd al Rahman Al Jami and His Book al Fawaid al Zeyaiyya

There are principal matters in the instruction of Arabic language in 'Madrasa'. We studied teaching techniques and textbooks of these matters. As known, the process that started with gramer books ("sarf") such as Emsile, Bina and Maksud, continued with syntax books ("nahv") suh as Avamil, Izhar and El-Kafiye, and most of the time finalized with instruction of Molla Cami.Molla Cami which is one of the clarifications of the work called el-Kafiye -which is written by Ibnu'l-Hacib- became an indispensable book in the instruction of Arabic language from the end of 15th Century. This book is still one of the essential books among other books, where old methods are used. Technical features of the work including use of logic of language, represents educational characteristics of that period.Determination of influences of books which had been used for centuries is very important. Certainly the issues of language which had been discussed during 19th Century and the results of these discussions were subsidiary to improvement of instruction of language. However, it will not be exaggeration to say that the mentioned process in the West derived from examination of only a few books of the East.
