Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the antimicrobial effects of essential oil contents and 19 microorganisms of Achillea millefolium subsp. millefolium (Civanperçemi) and Achillea nobilis subsp. neilreichii (Binbiryaprak) taxa grown naturally in Kastamonu-Ilgaz and Tosya districts. Essential oils obtained from plants were tested on pathogen Bacillus subtilis, Enterococcus durans, Enterococcus faecium, Enterococcus faecalis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Listeria monocytogenes, Listeria innocua, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli, Enterobacter aerogenes, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella kentucky, Salmonella infantis, Salmonella enteritidis, Serratia marcescens, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Candida albicans.
