Abstract (EN)

INTRODUCTION AND AIM: This study was conducted to help develop new strategies to reduce the duration of treatment by investigating the prognostic factors affecting the success of intrauterine insemination (IUI) in unexplained infertile patients and effective treatment options suitable for the patient. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Files of 967 infertile patients who applied to Sakarya Training and Research Hospital Reproductive Assisted Therapy Clinic between April 2017 and April 2022 were scanned. Of the 409 patients with unexplained infertility, 238 patients who met the exclusion criteria and underwent IUI were included in the study. The data of the cases were scanned retrospectively. Two groups were formed as patients with and without pregnancy after IUI. The effects of demographic and clinical data of the cases on pregnancy outcomes were analyzed statistically. CONCLUSION: When the pregnancy rates in unexplained infertile patients were evaluated, it was seen that low basal FSH value, high serum E2 value before hCG, sperm concentration on the day of IUI and high TPMSS were found to positively affect the success of IUI. In addition, it was observed that those with secondary infertility type had 2,079 times more IUI success than those with primary infertility type.
