Abstract (EN)

The research was conducted in Cukurova University Agriculture Faculty HorticultureDepartment Research and Implementation areas and its labarotories. Camarosa and SweetCharlie strawberry cultivars which are imported from USA and grown in our region widely,16 American and European origin strawberry genotypes, 8 promising strawberry hybrids andour local variety Osmanlı were used in the experiment. In this research yield per plant, fruitquality criteria and plant characteristics of experimental genotypes were analyzed. As the result of the research, ıt was found that the yield value of strawberry genotypesbetween 79.63 g/plant (Sophie) and 575.68 (MT J24/2) per plant,; average fruit weight variesbetween 2.94 g (Osmanlı) and 15.75 g (MT 99/163/22) and ascorbic acid contents variesbetween 23.3 mg (Osmanlı) and 60.31 mg (MT 99/163/14). Generally MT J24/2 and MT99/163/22 genotypes were found to be superior than the other genotypes with respect to perplant, average fruit weight and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) while Osmanlı strawberry varietywas found to be superior than other genotypes with respect SSC (%) content. Keywords: Strawberry, quality, colour, vitamin C.
