Adanavî Hüseyin Âlî Efendi's work called Gurretü'l-asr fî-Tefsîri Sûreti'n-nasr (Review-criticism text)

This study aims to establish and examine the critical text of Adanavî Hüseyin Âlî Efendi 's work "Gurretü'l-Asr fî Tefsîri Sûreti'n-nasr". It is crucial to verify that the work attributed to Veysî actually belongs to Adanavî Hüseyin Âlî Efendi, and to create and examine the critical text of the work to introduce it to the academic world. The study consists of an introduction, two main sections, and a conclusion. In the introduction, along with general introductory information, detailed information about the author's life and works, and whether his works have been studied or not, are discussed. Adanavî Hüseyin Âlî Efendi 's literary personality, prose in classical Turkish literature, and commentary on classical Turkish prose are also examined. The first section delves into the formal characteristics, content, language usage, and style of the prose work Gurretü'l-Asr, aiming to elucidate its language and stylistic features. The second section covers the classification of manuscripts, the method followed in transcribing, the transcription alphabet, and the transcription of the text. In the conclusion, the study provides a general evaluation, highlighting the importance of Adanavî Hüseyin Âlî Efendi 's work "Gurretü'l-Asr" in terms of language and literature, while also indicating potential areas for future research.
