Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to examine the effects of imagery training, necessary skill training and standard volleyball training on selected volleyball skills by making volleyball players in the adolescent period do imagery training, necessary skill training and standard volleyball training three days a week for 8 weeks. The sample of the study consists of 24 students in the BIST H. Resat Balyen High School school volleyball team located in Silvan district of Diyarbakır province. Four groups of 6 people were formed as imagery-practice, imagery, practice and control group. The pre-test results were obtained using the service skill test and cuff pass test before the students participating in the study started training. The results were obtained by performing a post-test after the 8-week training results. SPSS program was used to perform statistical analysis of the data obtained in the study. Paired sample t-test was used to determine the differences between the pre-test and post-test measurements of the imagery-practice group, imagery group, practice group and control groups, and one-way ANOVA was used to determine the differences between the groups. As a result, as a result of 8 weeks of training, an increase was observed in the pre-test and post- test score averages of students' volleyball basic skills. When examined for all groups, a significant difference was found between the service pre-test and post-test results, while no significant difference wasfound in the cuff results. When examined for groups, significant results were obtained from the pre-test-post-test results of the imagery-practice group and the application group in both volleyball skills. When the results are examined in general, it was determined that imagery training had a positive effect on volleyball basic skills and provided an increase.
