Abstract (EN)
Additive Manufacturing (AM) has revolutionized industrial processes by granting unprecedented design freedom and optimization potential. Nevertheless, challenges in part design, production planning, and process efficiency persist. This study introduces a heuristic-based guideline for part decomposition and presents an algorithmic approach for calculating AM parameters, including build time and total processing time. The methodology is exemplified through a case study involving a Savonius wind turbine blade. By segmenting the blade into printer-compatible sections and utilizing the algorithmic approach, an effective production plan is formulated, accommodating material availability, printer limitations, and assembly prerequisites. The proposed approach enhances additive manufacturing efficiency and contributes to a streamlined production workflow.
