Abstract (EN)
With the increase in superstructure brought about by the increasing population, there is an increase in parallel project design and implementation in infrastructure systems. Considering the current market in the design of sewer systems, the cost issue is seen as an engineering problem. In the literature, various methods have been applied for the optimization of these systems. While applying these methods, it is aimed to reach the optimum result depending on the hydraulic constraints. In this study, a sewer system design was designed for the city of Herat, Afghanistan, which does not have an existing sewer system, and a solution approach was developed with the multiverse optimization (MVO) technique, which has not been applied to the sewerage design problem in the literature before. Constraints and constraint handling methods were applied during this solution approach process. The results obtained as a result of the applied method are given in the section
