Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT PALLIATIVE RADIOTHERAPY ON PAINFUL BONE METASTASES İn this study, 3 different dose fractionation irradiation schedules wich consist of 1x800 cGy, 5x400 cGy, 10x300 cGy have been evaluated to determine their palliative effectivnes in 25 patients with 29 painful bone metastases, applied to Radiation Oncology Department of Çukurova University between February 2002- September 2004. At the and of the study, between study groups, no statisticaly significant difference was detected for pain palliation proportions(p0.677). For this reason 1x800 cGy and 5x400 cGy therapy programs are preferable in patients with poor life expectancy, poor general condition, immobile and suitable anatomical localization.
