A research on Ahmet İğciler?s life, literarcy, and works

Subfield: New Turkish LiteratureThis paper is composed of five sections.In the first section, this paper deals with the life of Ahmet İğciler, his birth, hischildhood and environment in which he grew up, his education and career, his teaching,journalism and translatorship, his family life, his literature view in details, examinestheplace and value of İğciler in Kosovo Turkish Literature by using the interviews madewith him, and also searches the effect of Anton Chekhov on İğciler.In the second section, hundreds of stories of İğciler that were published are analyzedscientifically in details, the plot in the stories is sometimes searched by summarizingtechnique, by critical examining technique, by showing the flow of the event chain inthe stories, and making short quotations of the reflections of traditions in the storieswherever the context requires, and the second section tries to emphasize the importanceof description in the stories in terms of place and time.In the section, not only the stories in published books, but also the stories in magazinesand newspapers and the stories in the different books of other authors are found andanalyzed in a chronological order. While the stories that belong to 9-12 and 13 ? 15 ageperiod are analyzed in terms of plot, characters, time, place, perspective and narrator,topic, theme under the title of the whole stories, Prizren that İğciler likes a lot and thesociety living there are introduced.The third part is composed of the examination of published and unpublished poems ofİğciler.The published and unpublished poems of İğciler are analyzed thematically with thepoems including different topics under four different titles and examined bydetermining the common points between him and his contemporary poets. In the fourthsection, the main focus is on the book by İğciler named ?Yok Olan Osmanlı İzleri? thatsearches the vanished Ottoman monuments composed of religious architecture, civilarchitecture, and military architecture, and the civilisation monuments/ trace that thesemonuments presented to Prizren are emphasized. In the rest of the present paper,quotations from Monografi by İğciler are made, and in the last part of the section theresearch, internet, and newspaper writings of İğciler are examined.In the fifth section, the language and style that İğciler uses and the reasons for and theeffects of this narrating style are exhibited generally.Keywords: Prizren, Ottoman Monuments, Kosovo Turkish Literature
