A study abaut Ahmet Oktay's life and literary works

Ahmet Oktay is one of the leading critics in Turkish Literature after 1950s Period. He writes in the fields of "Socialist realism", popular culture, media in literary genres such as poem and novel. His critics are influenced by Marxist aesthetics concept. However, compared to the other contemporary Marxist critics, Oktay does not assume a strict attitude. His critics, in particular that were written after 1980 period, are influenced by the philosophers of Frankfurt School. His critics are significant, in terms of understanding the processes of Turkish Literature after Tanzimat, with Marxism perspective.
