Abstract (EN)

Florfenicol Residue Investigation on Edible Trout Samples at Preharvest and Harvest PeriodIn this study that investigated florfenicol residues from amfenicols drug group used for bacterial disease treatment on edible trout tissues (skin, muscle and liver tissue) were used 25 pieces of trout at harvest period and 25 pieces of trout at preharvest period total of 50 trout different five trout facilities at Elazığ. Florfenicol residue of the samples were examined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).As a result of analysis of, florfenicol was detected in 44% of skin tissue, 32% of muscle tissue and 16% of liver tissue of the preharvest period trout. In addition, as a result of analysis of the harvest period trout florfenicol was detected in 40% of skin tissue, 36% of muscle tissue and 32% of liver tissue samples. Florfenicol residue of muscle tissue at pre-harvest found to be significantly higher (3,52 ± 0,89) comparing to at harvest period (0,69 ± 0,21) (p<0.05) and there was no statistically significant difference in skin and liver tissues. Between residue of florfenicol at skin, muscle and liver tissue samples collected from trout at preharvest period and skin, residue of florfenicol at muscle and liver tissue samples collected from trout at harvest period no statistically significant difference was found (p>0.05).As a result of study mean florfenicol residue at edible tissue samples (skin, muscle and liver) collected from trout at preharvest period as well as edible tissue samples collected from trout at harvest period found to be over according to Turkish Food Codex Communique residue limit (1000 µg/kg).Keywords: Florfenicol, trout, residue, HPLC.
