Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, photometry of AO Ser and IU Per were performed and their light curves were analyzed. B and V color photometry of AO Ser and V color photometry of IU Per were performed and their light curves were studied using 2003 version of W-D program. Geometric and physical parameters of both systems were determined. The theoretical light curves fit observational points in a sufficient accuracy. From the light curve analysis of IU Per and AO Ser, in turn in order, the mass ratio of q=0.372 and q=0,243 was found to fit both light curves of both systems. Again from the light curve analysis, secondary component?s temperatures of IU Per and AO Ser were found to be 4768 K and 5048 K in turn in order. Consequently, the primary component of AO Ser is a main sequence star with A2V spectral type and the secondary component is a subgiant star with a spectral type G7IV. Also, from their temperature and color information, the primary component of IU Per is a main sequence star with A4V spectral type. If the secondary component is a giant star, it?s spectral type is G8.5III or if the secondary component is a subgiant star, it?s spectral type is K0IV. Roche geometries of the investigated systems show that both systems are classical Algol type eclising binaries.
