Abstract (EN)

This research aims at the prevalence of HEV infection on the patients with the ages 4 months- 64 years having acute leukaemia before and after the transplantation and applying to our hospital. The study has been performed in 2011 by taking the serum samples of 42 patients and with ELISA (Dia Pro Diagnostic Bioprobes, Milano, Italy) kit. From the samples used in the study, for 1 (%2.3) of them, 45 years old, anti- HEV IgG has been found positive before the transplantation, and negative after the transplantation (58. months). The average age of seronegative group has been determined as 30.8 for men and 33.1for women. When seropositive case has been compared with seronegative cases; statistically, a meaningful difference has not been found in terms of anti- HEV IgM positivity and anti-HEV IgG positivity.
