Abstract (EN)

Aluminum alloys, which are widely used today, are used extensively in areas such as aviation, automotive and construction sectors due to their properties. Al6061, which has a wide range of applications among aluminum alloys, has been preferred as a research material due to its ability to heat treatmens, having welding capability and good strength properties. İn this study, Al6061 and Al6061-T6 materials were joined by TIG welding method using AlSi5 and AlSi12 additional welding wires and four different sample parameters were determined (Al6061 – AlSi5, Al6061-T6 – AlSi5, Al6061 – AlSi12, Al6061-T6 – AlSi12). Induction heat treatments were applied to the welded specimens at different temperatures (185 °C and 350 °C) and durations (3 minutes, 6 minutes and 9 minutes). İn induction heat treatment, the samples were heat treated by reaching high temperatures in a short durations. In order to investigate the effect of these processes on welded samples with different wires, SEM/EDX analyses, microstructure examination, microhardness tests, bending and tensile tests were performed. As a result of these examination and tests, it was observed that the hardness and strength values of the specimens subjected to aging and induction heat treatment increased.
