Abstract (EN)

With the rapid growing of retailing sector in Turkey as is the case in the world, the number of shopping centers has been started to increase and the architectural as well as organizational structure has been changed.Turkey as a developing country, with its young and crowded population, rapid urbanization, innovative community and instantly adoption of innovations are affecting foreign suppliers. Although growing competition has a lot of advantages for domestic and foreign suppliers it has some disadvantages as well.In this stuy, as a organized retail format content, classification, historical development, the last status in our country and in the world of shopping centers were put in place. Creation of shopping centers stage, what should have been done at this stages, problems of sector, issues of the day and recipe offerings are seeked and development of sectors have been analyzed.Customer survey and analysis have been made in order to find out the reasons of why the customers are going to the shopping centers. By these studies the issues which are essential for the managers of the shopping center, investors, tenants are taken up. Also the profile of the customers are tried to be determined . And all these are sorted only in the city center of İzmir.
