Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY This study is done to find out the structures of the families in low and high socieconomic levels and to examine the relationships between mother-child. The sample of the research is selected from the low and high socioeconomic levels by randomly. 90 students and their parents from low socioeconomic level, 120 students and their parents from high socioeconomic level are taken in this research. "Personal Information Form" is applied in order to get information about the child and the family. "Family Structure Evaluation Tool " is applied to find out the structures of the families, also "Parental Acceptance-Rejection Questionnaire-Mother Form" are used to evaluate the relationships between mother and child. The structures of low and high socieconomic level of families and the relationships between mother and child are differed from eachother considerably. It is found that families in high socioeconomic level, evaluate the structure of the family and mother-child relationships more positively then the families in low socioeconomic level. The age of the mother is not found to be meaningful in family structures and mother-child relationships. The education level of the mother is showed the meaningful differences.lt is found that mothers graduated from university, evaluate the structure of the family and mother- child relationships more positively.
