Abstract (EN)
This research has been conducted throughout the idea that changes should exist in the education system depending upon the changes of concepts within the education system. This research has been conducted in order to evaluate the applicability and contribution of alternative measurement and evaluation methods such as Grid, Concept Map and Tree to high school ninth grade biology lessons.Related applications have been performed over 60 students in Kazan Multi-Curriculum High School in Kazan-Ankara in 2006-2007 education periods. Equivalent experiment and control groups are chosen for demonstration of research?s sample. Placement tests have been applied to both groups in order to show this equivalence. The students which form the control group have been measured and evaluated with classic methods. Experimental group have been provided with concept maps, Grid and tree applications.SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) computer software has been used to evaluate the data during the research process. The difference between the grades of the experiment and control group has been checked with T test. Relevance level has been accepted as 0,5.As a result of the acquired data and the statistical analyze of this data it has proven that alternative measurement and evaluation methods can be subjected to biology and it contributed to student success.
