Abstract (EN)

HI SUMMARY Master Thesis THE INVESTIGATION IN POINT OF CHROMOSOME NUMBER, MORPHOLOGICAL, ANATOMICAL AND POLLEN CHARACTERISTICS OF Alyssum harputicum Dudley Arzu KANDİL Fırat University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciencies Department of Biology 2005, Page: 20 In this study, the chromosome number and morphologicial, anatomical and pollen characteristics of Alyssum harputicum Dudley (Brassicaceae) have been researched. Some different and new morhologicial characterics have been determined from it's description given in the Flora of Turkey for the species. The plant is suffrutescent. In the croos section both of the root and stem, xylem has alternating concentric lignified and unlignified zones.. The number of vascular bundles is 13-15 in the stem. The leaves are isolateral and have anisocytic stomata type. Both surfaces of the leaves are covered with lepidote hairs. The pollen type of the specimens is tricolpate. T&e chromosome number is ninety (2n=90). Key Words: Alyssum harputicum Dudley, Brassicaceae, pollen, morphology, anatomy, chromosome.
