Abstract (EN)
226Ra, 232Th and 40K radionuclides are plentiful in nature. These elements are very important to our health determination of radioactivity values. In this studies, natural radioactivity of coal extracted in the Amasya region was measured using a NaI(Tl) detector. The specific activity concentration (A), Absorbed dose rate in air (D), annual effective dose (AED), radium equivalent activities (Raeq), and external hazard index (Hex) associated with the natural radionuclide are calculated. Maximum activity values were calculated as 59.91 Bq/kg for 226Ra, 51.32 Bq/kg for 232Th and 360.73 Bq/kg for 40K.
