Abstract (EN)
SUMMARY THE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A MASTER PRODUCTION SCHEDULING MODULE Keywords : Master production scheduling, Rough-cut capasity planning, Final assembly schedule, Bill of materials A delay in production in factories where lots of products are manufactured becomes indispensable with an increase in the number of the items, coincidence of the production processes at the workstations and/or idle time of the machines. Operating all machines at the maximum efficiency, in other words, scheduling such a program is very complicated. In this study, master production scheduling and a rough-cut planning module, testing its feasibility has been presented, and a scheduling module performing these procedures has been designed. The designed module has been coded as orderly and comprehensively as possible to easily fulfill today's firms production planning activities. In the second chapter, the fundamental production activities have been touched. The difficulties encountered during the planning have been explained. The third chapter deals with the Master Production Scheduling which consists of the customer orders and demand estimates. It ends up with the preparation of the final assembly scheduling and the bill of material. Rough-cut capacity planning is the topic investigated in the fourth chapter which also includes a successful example. In the final chapter, a Production Planning Module, including Master Production Scheduling, Rough-Cut Capacity Planning, Material Requirement Planning and Capacity Requirement Planning modules, has been designed from the scratch.
