Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted at the University of Cukurova, Faculty of Agriculture research area in 2019. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of inter-row spacing on pod yield and some agronomic characteristics of different growth type peanut varieties in main crop growing condition. Two different peanut varieties (NC-7 and Halisbey) and five different inter row spacing (5, 10, 15. 20 and 25 cm) were used. The experimental design was a split block with three replications. Pod number and pod weight per plant, fancy pod percentage, 100 pod and seed weight, shelling percentage, oil and protein content, oil yield per decar, pod and kernel yield per decar characteristics of varieties were investigated. As a result; pod number and weight per plant, fancy pod percentage, 100 pod and seed weight values were decreased when the inter-row spacing was decreased, but shelling percentage, pod and kernel yield and oil yield values were increased. The oil content was not affected by the inter-row spacing. The highest pod yield (761.7 kg/da) was obtained when Halisbey variety the seeds planted at 5 cm inter-row spacing.
