Abstract (EN)
Anamur Bahsis village is a region that lives and reflects the nomad culture. The existence of weaving, an important branch of handicraft in the region, dates back to the past. Tablet weaving, one of the weaving varieties, is widely made and used in the region. The girdle, which is used in the region in transportation and transportation, in tying children to the back or cradle, in animal husbandry, in the transportation of loads, in the field of clothing and accessories, in the materials used in funerals and in many other areas, helps to meet the needs of the local people. In tablet weaving, tools consisting of two rods (looms), doretree, power rod, sword and rope are used. The ropes used in weaving are obtained from goat hair and sheep's wool. In general, wool rope is used and red, henna yellow, yellow, white, black, green and purple colors are preferred. In the region, the ropes are dyed with chemical dyes and the dyeing of the ropes is usually done for a certain fee by the person called the painter in the Barcin plateau, which is usually migrated in the summer months. In the study region, 31 tablet weaving and one girth weaving were detected. 10 of these examples have the same motif and pattern characteristics as the other examples. Therefore, these ten examples were not included in the scope of the study. In the tablet weaving samples evaluated in the study; there are different designs such as bowhead, snakehead, bead, ram horn, truffle tooth, baklava slice, three powers, knife, water. The examples of tablet weaving identified in the region are the weavings made in the past and today, pure and simple girth are made by few people for suddenly developing needs. The new generation is not interested in this art, and the age of industry and technology postpones this art. In addition, local women are engaged in agriculture as well as animal husbandry and devote the rest of their time to housework. Women who are constantly on the move meet their need for tablet from ready-made products they buy and from the tablet that used to be touched. All these reasons reduce the number of original girdle weaving samples in the region. The aim of the study is to examine the decreasing number of tablet in the region, to determine the current situation, to determine the tools and materials used in the construction, the technique applied in the tablet weavings, the areas of use of the girths, the color, motif and pattern characteristics. In addition, the fact that there is no study in the field related to the belt weaving in the study region shows the importance of this study. The data used in the study were collected by mutual interview method in the region after a literature review on the subject.
