Abstract (EN)

Jolivet? s first composing period which was during 1930?s is known as magical period. In this perion the composer was affected by the interest of western communities in foreign cultures like most 20th century artists. In this period in France ethnologic studies lead by Mauss and Levy-Bruhl, spell in primative societies, non-European cultures and esoteric writings were sources of inspiration for the composer to create his own style.In the first part the determinats of Jolivet?s magical period and the overall features of Cinq Incantations.Cinq Incantations composed in 1936 consists of five seperate pieces written for solo flute which are about life related issues as brith, death and working in primative societies. With ?Mana?(1935) and ?Five Ritual Dance?(1937) classified as a part of a triplet, ?Cinq Incantations? is among the masterpieces of flute in twentieth century.The second part of the work is like a technical and interpretive guide for young players to study ?Cinq Incantations?.
