Abstract (EN)
In this thesis work, a computer program to estimate the behaviour of a tie-back wall is developed. The `P-Y? Method is a solution method to understand the behaviour of laterally loaded piles which based on Winkler Hypothesis, an approach focusing on the behaviour of a beam on elastic ground. In `P-Y? Method, taking into account the load curves `p? , and displacement curves `y?, non-linear calculation of lateral stresses and displacements can be performed. In the scope of the thesis, analysis of a tie-back wall can be achieved by using the developed computer program which is coded in Visual Basic. The parameters used as an input in the code are the legth of pile, pile diameter, the distance of nodes, pile elasticity modulus of the pile as the pile property; the young modulus of soil, cohesion of soil, the angle of internal friction of ground, the unit weight of soil as the ground property. Also, elasticity module of tendon, cross section area of the steel tendon, unbonded length of the anchor, bonded length of the anchor are inputs for the anchor property. According to the inputs, pile displacements, soil pressures, shear forces and moment values are calculated along the depth and dispersion of the results are illustrated by graphical outputs. Visual Basic code is named as KAPA. For some given profiles, analysis achieved by the KAPA and the benchmark of the code is done by a trademark software called Msheet.
