Abstract (EN)

The application of anti-angiogenic therapy in tumor treatment is a nonlinear control problem. By using new techniques, tumor volume is aimed to minimize growth using anti-angiogenic treatment and optimum drug dose without exposing the severe conditions of excessive treatment at patient. For this purpose, a suitable reduced desired value for tumor volume is designed. Since automatic adjust of input parameters according to the desired tumor is necessary, the problem is itself a closed loop system. In this thesis, it is proved that the control purpose can be realized with the first designed exact model knowledge based controller if all parameters are known. The second controller, on the assumption that the parametric values of the mathematical model are not known, proved that the results in the exact model knowledge could be obtained. Evidence was made under estimation error and Lyapunov type stability analysis methods. At the third controller it is proved same results with other two controllers can be obtained if parametric uncertainty exist via using different approach. Finally, an observer is designed because of the difficulty of biologically measuring the state variables of the model. The results of the numerical simulation show that the volume of the tumor can be reduced to a minimized value.
