Abstract (EN)

In this study, natural kaolinite, clinoptilolite and sepiolite materials were transformed into anti-bacterial form. The utilized natural materials were obtained from domestic resources without further pre-processes such as enrichment and purification. The disinfection operation was performed using hybrid and serial systems to improve efficiency. The transformation into anti-bacterial forms was achieved by physical and chemical silver ion utilization. The chemically transformed anti-bacterial materials were found to contain more silver ions as compared to the physically transformed ones. Water disinfection with hybrid and serial systems was obtained by silver ion supported antibacterial filled column, wideband ultrasonic systems, and ultraviolet systems in combinations of double and triple systems. Air disinfection with hybrid and serial systems was obtained by combined usage of silver ion supported antibacterial filled column, ultraviolet reactor, and photo-catalytic supported ultraviolet reactor. Water and air disinfection studies show that combined use of hybrid systems have better disinfection efficiency as compared to individual uses of each of the described methods
