Abstract (EN)

The aim is to investigate the Typology of Gastronomic items. in Ancient Maritime Trade: Wine – Olive Oil Amphora Carrier Containers and AmphoraTypology. In this study, qualitative research model was used and data were collected by document analysis method. Vine and olive have a culture with a very old history as old as grain. Olive, viticulture and wine is a rapidly rising industry within the framework of 21st century scientific practice: In this context, examining the methods and transport containers applied in the past of this industry will provide an understanding of the foundations of the 21st century application: Viticulture, winemaking and olives, which were considered sacred in the ancient period, had a very important place in the economy of the region. This richness manifests itself in various regions of Anatolia in the form of vine leaves and plump grape clusters on a column, a tomb sarcophagus, a mural painting and a relief. It has been a symbol of the fertility of the land and the wealth of the people.In this context, commercial amphoras were used to prevent moisture by maintaining the quality of substances such as olive oil and wine.In the research, the typology of amphora of wine and olive and transport containers were examined in a wide framework and the results were presented in this framework.
