Abstract (EN)

Information technologies, which have an important place in making people's lives easier, have increased the need for internet use. The Internet and these technologies have provided convenience in different areas such as time, cost and labor. The technology process that started with Industry 3.0 paved the way for smart technologies with Industry 4.0. With the Internet of Things, it has become possible for billions of devices to work in harmony. The increase in the number of internet users has brought security problems arising from internet use. Security problems, which are constantly renewed and repeated in cycles with smart technologies, have reached a remarkable level. Due to the problems that have occurred, our country, the Republic of Turkey and other states have taken precautions. It has been observed that our country's government institutions such as the Information Technologies and Communications Authority, the Presidential Digital Transformation Office, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, or international organizations on a global scale such as the United Nations and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, attach utmost importance to cyber security during the technological process. As the number of people using computers increases on a global scale, the need for antivirus software for both system administrators and personal users has increased day by day. Today, antivirus software has been used to prevent the damaging effects of viruses on devices. Since antivirus software differs among themselves, the problem of choosing antivirus software has arisen. In this thesis study, 5 different antivirus software, which are preferred by computer users, were compared according to the determined criteria. Opinions from a team of 3 experts were consulted in determining and comparing the criteria. For the antivirus software selection problem considered, an attempt was made to select the appropriate antivirus software by using the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process method and the Rank Analysis Technique approach.
