Abstract (EN)
This study analyzes the structure and harmonics of "8 Waltzes" by Antonin Dvorak, one of the most important composers of the Romantic period. As one of the composer's dance music pieces, the work stands out for its waltz rhythm and melodic richness. In this context, the analysis examines the work's formal structure, the relationships between phrases, and the harmonic transitions employed. The analysis examines how the characteristics of the waltz form and Dvorak's unique approaches are combined, and how the composer approached the work's melodic and harmonic structure. Content analysis, a qualitative research method, is employed in this study. This study is considered important for understanding Dvorak's compositional technique and understanding its similarities and differences with the characteristics of the period in which he lived.
