Abstract (EN)

Aphis gossypii Glover (Hemiptera Aphididae) seasonal cycle in the Eastern Mediterranian region of Turkey was evaluated in this study and the result shows that A. gossypii nymph and adult population fluctuation in the autumn season was 5.267 nymph and adult per leaf, 1.400 nymphs, and adult per leaf in the squash plant and 0.056 nymphs and adult per leaf in the citrus plant. This result shows that the Citrus A. gossypii population was lower compared to the Cucumber and Squash plants. Aphis gossypii nymph and adult population fluctuation in the Spring season was 0.01 nymph and adult per leaf in the cucumber plant, 0.03 nymph, and adult per leaf in the Eggplant, and 0.01 nymph and adult per leaf in the squash plant, 0.24 nymph, and adult per leaf in the Pepper plant, and 2.833 nymphs and adult per leaf in the citrus plant. This result shows that citrus A. gossypii population was higher in spring compared to the Cucumber, Eggplant, Pepper, and Squash plants. Aphis gossypii nymph and adult population fluctuation in the Summer season 5.5 nymph and adult per leaf in the cucumber plant, 2.0 nymph, and adult per leaf in the Eggplant 2.5 nymph and adult per leaf in the Pepper plant and 0.02 nymph and adult per leaf in the citrus plant. This result shows that citrus A. Gossypii population was lower in summer compared to the Cucumber, Eggplant, and Pepper plants.
