Abstract (EN)
Among other ancient Greek philosophers who affected muslim thinkers deeply, Aristotle?s famous work Nicomachean Ethics has a special effect on Ibn Miskawayh?s Tahdhib al-Akhlaq. In this book, Ibn Miskawayh developed his own ethics synthesizing Islamic moral principles with those of Aristotle. In this dissertation, we deal with four cardinal virtues (wisdom, honour, fortitude, and justice) handled by both Aristotle and Ibn Miskawayh in addition to some other terms like morality, happiness, friendship, and child education. Keywords: Aristotle, Ibn Miskawayh, Morality, Four Cardinal Virtues (wisdom, honour, fortitude, and justice).
