Abstract (EN)
Archaeological sites are defined as areas of concrete cultural heritage that contain all the remnants of the activities undertaken since the beginning of mankind and provide primary information on archaeological methods. In the protection, development and evaluation of archaeological sites, efforts to develop methods for a holistic viewpoint and an understanding of stakeholder participation are widely adopted, especially since the second half of the 20th century. In this respect, the area to be protected by the field management which is considered in the planning appropriate for the protection of archaeological sites is evaluated not only by physical interventions but also by social, cultural and economic aspects. The Eflatun Pınar Sacred Water Monument which is located in Konya province, approximately 22 km from Beyşehir district in a horizontal source space spreading to a wide area in the north is very important as a sacred pool structure in terms of bearing information about the Hittites belief system, possibly religious rituals and spring festivals. The Eflatun Pinar Monument located on the roads to the south and southwest from the Hittite core region is separated from other examples by its physical structure, function, iconographic depiction. In this thesis, under the heading "Archaeological Site Management: Eflatun Pınar Example", a management plan study has been tried to be carried out. The study has been prepared for the determination of principles in order to protect Eflatun Pınar in a holistic manner, with the participation of relevant stakeholders in accordance with the methods specified in the published international documents related to the preparation of management plans and the methods applied in the approved national management plans.
