11 FLORA OF AŞA?I TERSAKAN VALLEY ( A-5 AMASYA) (M.Sc. Thesis) Ferhat CELEP GAZI UNIVERSTY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY September 2004 ABSTRACT The research area is situated in North of AMASYA Centre province. In this study, 720 plant specimens were collected. The flora of this research area composed of 74 families 300 genera and 461 taxa which are in spesific and intraspesific rank. 47 taxa are endemic (%10,19). 4 taxa are belong to Gymnospermae and 457 taxa are belong to Angiospermae. Phytogeographical elements of the area are as follows: Irano- Turanian elements 74 ( %16,05), Mediterranean elements 35 ( %7,59), Euro-Siberian elements 39 ( %8,45), and the others are 313 ( %67,89). 15 taxa are new record for A5 square.
