Abstract (EN)
Induction motors have simple and robust structure, and undoubtedly they are the most common electric motors used in the industrial applications. In this regard, induction motor control is very important. However, due to complexity of induction motor, they cannot be easily control such as DC motor. The development of technology and particularly advances in power electronics equipment bring the control of Induction motor to the level to compete with the DC motor control.Induction motor can be controlled by various methods. By using the vector control technique, which is one of the induction motor control method, motor flux and torque can be independently controlled like DC motors by eliminating the relation between these two variables. Thus, the motor torque and speed can be controlled by using the torque component while keeping the flux component constant. However, vector control systems need to operate with high-speed and accuracy. Therefore, digital signal processors (DSP?s) have been used widely in vector control of induction motors.Firstly, in this thesis, previous studies have been investigated. Then, the foundations of the induction motor, scalar and vector control is given. To find out an appropriate vector control method of induction motor; vector control methods which used in the surveyed literature, has been tested on a variety of simulation software. The vector control method that was tested in simulation, was also tested in practice by using TMS320F28335 processor-based Technosoft Motion company?s MCK28335 motor control system, and the optimum parameters of PI has been established by comparing experimental results.KEYWORDS: Vector Control, Technosoft Motion MCK 28335,MATLAB/Simulink, Induction Motor Control
