Abstract (EN)

Minstrel literature is a repertory literature that is shaped by the poet-baksı tradition, which is based on folk literature, fed by tekke-mysticism and developed after the 15th century. The bards sing poems with kopuz and existed in the society as sorcerers, physicians, musicians and priest-poets. The fact that the minstrels are mentioned only as a musical poet shows that the division of work decreases compared to poets. The minstrel type brought new rules and disciplines to folk poetry. Going out of religious issues, themes such as love and bravery entered public poetry. Along with strict foot rules and competitions, new poetry understandings such as lebdeğmez, conundrum have emerged. Reasons such as migration from the village to the city, cultural changes, and increase in literacy rate have led to the change and development of the minstrel type. Minstrels, who grew up every century since the 16th century, reflected the political structure, life and culture of the society in their poems and became a mirror to the society. Although the power of minstrel tradition was shaken in the 21st century compared to the previous century, there are also minstrels such as Yakup Temel, who grew up in the master-apprentice tradition, who could play instruments, shoot, sing and improvise. Yakup Temel continued the tradition of minstrelship in television and radio promos, apart from minstrel meetings, and kept up with modern life. He also successfully presented poems such as lebdeğmez; has received many awards from publications, institutions, minstrel meetings and festivals.
