Abstract (EN)
In this study, a fast and simple liquid chromatography method is set for the determination of the amount of ascorbic acid in the pharmaceutical formulation comprising active ingredients ascorbic acid, hesperidin, and diosmin. Ascorbic acid was determined at 210 nm wavelength under isocratic elution conditions of 4 minutes with 1.0 mL/min flow rate, at 25ºC sample temperature and 50 µl injection volume with a mobile phase containing phosphate buffer (pH 3.3) and acetonitrile (95:5) (v/v) using a column Inertsil ODS-3V (250x4.6 mm, 5μm). The method indicated a linear profile in the range of 4.4-31.1 µg/ml concentration. RSD value between the peak areas obtained from six injections of the standard solution is 0.02%. Average recovery value was found to be 99.30%. This method gives reliable results for determining the amount of fastly biodegradable ascorbic acid can be also used in industry for various pharmaceutical formulations containing ascorbic acid.
