Abstract (EN)

First of all, by touching upon the typology of West Anatolian burials in general terms, the ones which have been frequently seen in Assos West Necropolis, and by comparing them to other near Necropolises, classification is based. After investigating the funeral customs in West Anatolia, a reduction has been made to funeral customs of Assos West Necropolis. These examples have been compared to Antandros Melis Necropolis, Parion Necropolis and Tenedos Necropolis which are both close and first degree relevant to Assos West Necropolis and some consequences have been obtained. In this study the evaluation of 233 pieces of ceramic, terracotta figurins, coin, glass, metal, stone, tile and bone artifacts have been done and most of those items were registered in Çanakkale Archeological Museum?s inventory. These evaluations were made a catalog with their drawings. In the consequence part, shaping the findings according to periods, degree of density, finding?s quantitative distribution according to periods, style and customs of perod, effects of cremation and inhumation to types of burials, the relationship of death cult and dead?s daily life relations, having been used objects? production tecniques, local and export products have been tried to be explained.
