Abstract (EN)
121 VI!, İNGİLİZCE ÖZET Pyrpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the adequacy of CTA in evaluating stent-aorta, stent- iliac artery relation, stent completeness and patency in cases which intravascular stents were applied due to stenosis of the iiiac artery or aorta. Materials and Methods: in this study 20 cases with either iliac artery or terminal aorta stenosis treated with metallic stents between July 1994- February were included. All cases were evaluated with spiral CTA and arteriography (DSA). The spiral CTA examination was performed in two phases, the first phase was data collection (axial images) and the second phase was post-processing of collected data. MPR, MIP, SSD and VIE images were reconstructed by post processing. In all cases stent length and stent diameter were measured. Sensitivity and specificity values of the spiral CTA were measured in respect to irrtraarteriel angiography, which is the gold standart in diagnosis of vascular diseases. Results: In all cases no significant difference was found between stent length and diameter in CTA with actual stent diameter and length, According to density measurements, all stents were found to be patent. MPR images were found more effective than other images (MIP, SSD, VIE) in evaluation of the stent lumen. In respect of angiography, sensitivity and specificity of spiral CTA for the detection of significant stenosis (30%) were 88,3% and 100%, respectively. Cortclysion: Spiral CTA together with scanning parameters and postprocessing applications can be applied as a noninvasive method in patients who has normal renal functions in evaluating stent completeness, patency and the relation between stent-aorta and stent- iliac arteries.
