Abstract (EN)

In this study, neutralized waste frying oil (NWFO) was obtained by neutralization of waste frying oil (WFO). The production of waste frying oil biodiesel (WFOB) and neutralized waste frying oil biodiesel (NWFOB) were performed by changing the production parameters (catalyst amount, alcohol ratio, temperature and time) by using transesterification method. The amount of catalyst in the production parameters; 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25 g. Alcohol amount; 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 g,temperature values; 30, 40, 50, 60, 70℃ and 30, 45, 60, 75, 90min for the time. Optimization values for WFOB; the catalyst amount was 0.75, the alcohol amount was 20 g, the temperature was 50℃, the reaction time was 60min and the reaction yield was %95.0182. Optimization values for NWFOB; the amount of catalyst was 0.50, the alcohol amount was 20 g, the temperature was 60℃, the reaction time was 60 min and the reaction yield was %97.172. For fuel properties; all fuels were slightly above of the standard values in water content values. For WFOB and NWFOB, viscosity, density and flash point values are within the standard values. With WFOB production, the viscosity of WFO decreased by 88.5% and density by 4.42%. With NWFOB production, the viscosity of NWFO decreased by 88.7% and density value by 4.42%.
