Abstract (EN)

Transportation engineering is a branch of science dealing with issues such as projects, materials and planning. With the rapid increase in population and industrial production in the world, the material part of transportation engineering has become more prominent. In addition, as a result of this production, wastes are released and their storage areas have become limited. At this point, scientific studies have been directed towards the use of wastes in other production areas. In this study, waste truck, automobile and vegetable frying oil were used as industrial wastes. The purpose of using these wastes is to improve the performance properties of 70/100 penetration bitumen by modifying it. Conventional bitumen experiments were carried out for all three wastes at 1%, 3%, 5%. Marshall Design was used to determine the properties of asphalt concrete. Considering the three types of waste oils and mixing ratios, it was observed that 3% waste truck oil improved the performance properties of bitumen and asphalt concrete. By using waste truck oil in asphalt concrete, recycling of waste material, sustainable life and environment can be achieved.
